Acting Governor of Nord Kivu Province Feller Lutayichirwa Mulwahale told members of the Provincial Government on Friday that the President of the Republic, Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, has chosen Nord Kivu, the second province to visit after Haut Katanga.
This announcement was made by the spokesman of the Nord Kivu Provincial Government, Marie Shematsi Baeni, after a report of which the ACP got a copy. "The members of the Council have welcomed this choice of the President which will allow him to pinpoint the realities of the Province, long bruised by the cycle of infernal armed violence," adds the document in which "the entire population of Nord Kivu is invited to reserve a warm welcome "to the 1st Citizen" on the date which will be communicated shortly ".
The Provincial Authority took advantage of the opportunity to welcome the successful holding on March 31 of the national and provincial legislative elections in the constituencies of Beni-town, Beni-Territory and Butembo.
Mr. Feller Lutayichirwa congratulated the lucky, elected national and provincial deputies of three constituencies, noting that the Provincial Assembly now has forty-four elected deputies and is waiting for the co-optation of the four customary chiefs to increase the number of provincial deputies to 48.
The dates of 18 and 30 May 2019 are selected for the election of Senators and the Governor and Vice-Governor to lead to the destiny of the Province.
