In a brief speech, the Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo expressed his determination to make the Congolese woman the future of the DRC, in front of the women gathered in a tent at the Cité de l’Union Africaine, at the initiative of the First Lady, Ms. Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day on Friday.
This day, organized under the theme "Thinking equitably, smartly building, innovating for women's change", offered the President of the Republic, at a banquet to which were invited about 500 women from different categories, from wish a happy birthday to women around the world in general, and to those of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in particular.
Earlier, the Head of State held, on the same day, in a room at the Cité de l’Union Africaine, a working session with a panel of women who led the fight for the defense of women's rights, grouped under the label of "Women of exception". This working session was organized on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day, celebrated each year on March 8th.
