The mortal remains of former Leopard Ndaye Mulamba should wait for a few days in South Africa, the funeral planning committee said in a statement issued Wednesday (February 20th).

"Despite the total payment of its bill by bank, Global Access Health Network, is unable to repatriate the mortal remains of Ndaye Mulamba Pierre this Wednesday, February 20, 2019 when she had given all its assurances to the organizing committee," explained Ciguge Emmanuel and Kabala Mwana Mbuyi respectively coordinator and assistant coordinator of the organizing committee.

It is not a problem of the Congolese government that has paid all the costs associated with hospitalization. "The Agency is asking for a few extra days to comply with the administrative constraints in South Africa," they concluded before apologizing in the committee’s name.

Ndaye Mulamba, the top scorer in a single African Cup of Nations edition with nine goals in Egypt in 1974, died on January 26 in South Africa at the age of 70. The former Congolese attacker had gone there for treatment.
