A dynamic to encourage since both personalities symbolize the parliamentary majority and the presidential majority. Former Congolese President Joseph Kabila was received yesterday Sunday (February 17th) by his successor Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

The meeting took place at the former Cité de l’ OAU. The two men spoke for almost four hours. But nothing of substantial has filtrated of this very friendly visit. And even family. This has given rise to several speculations both in the streets of Kinshasa and in some upscale salons of the capital.

Some have quickly concluded that the interview between Felix Tshisekedi and his predecessor Joseph Kabila revolved around the choice of Prime Minister. Normal, as long as the political context gets ready of it.

However, Jean-Pierre Kambila, deputy chief of staff of the honorary president, speaking yesterday on private Top Congo FM Radio, said the meeting between the two men is part of the culture of peace.

"The discussions around the Prime Minister nomination are made on the level platforms CACH and FCC and are very advanced", he says. For his part, Jean-Baudoin Mayo, senior of the CACH questioned by the same colleague, insists on the fact that Felix Antoine Tshisekedi and Joseph Kabila being both, son of the country, have the freedom to meet when and where they want.

The secretary-general of “Union pour la nation congolaise” (UNC) of Vital Kamerhe, principal private secretary of the current Head of State, pointed out the declaration of President Felix Tshisekedi who, in his speech of nomination on last 24 January.

On this occasion, the Head of State had said that he will refer to the expertise of his predecessor, each time the needs require it…
