The national president of the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC), André Bokundoa-bo-Libake, has, in an official statement handed on Tuesday to ACP, encouraged the congolese people to continue to wait, in serenity and peace, the publication of the results of the polls of December 30, 2018.

The legal representative of the ECC thanked the congolese people which, on the extent of the national territory, massively went to vote thus showing his high responsibility of good citizenship by facing several natural challenges, security and logistic.

It also greeted the determination of the government of the Republic to finance, on its own funds, the whole of the electoral process as well as the independent national electoral Commission (CENI), for the organization of the elections. It also congratulated all the partner organizations, the regroupings and parties political which deployed national and international observers as well as witnesses in various electoral centers in order to make credible the vote operations.

The ECC encourages the CENI to continue its mission of institution of support to the democracy, as devoted in article 211 of the Constitution of February 18, 2006, before inviting the partner organizations to continue without slackening the operation of compilation of the data in order to ensure the transparency of the results.
