Kinshasa, the DR-congolese capital, is famous a city of the rumours. Tuesday January 8, 2019, the rumour on the publication of the results of presidential by the independent national electoral Commission - Ceni- circulated through the city. Immediately, the trades started to close. In the township of Gombe, business and public administration centers, the doors closed everywhere without a really knowing why.

The merchants and other workers left the city precipitately flowing the bus-stops to return at-them. The movement of panic left the downtown reached all the 24 townships of the town of Kinshasa. Everyone get ready to regain the house for those which were in displacement for a cause and another.

On the lips of the some and others, one expected statement:"the CENI will publish the results of presidential this afternoon. One would not like to be surprised by this announcement out of home". This rumour started from mouth to the ear for some and the telephone for other ended up appearing false whereas the city was already emptied of its world.

"AfricaNews" contacted the service of communication of the Ceni to know if the rumour which circulated was true and that the CENI was going without delay to publish the results of the presidential of December 30, 2018 in combination with the legislative and the provincial ones. And the response of this service was surprising: "It is false alert. Nothing is planned with the CENI today in this way". For this service, "the rumour which circulate through the town on the imaginary publication of the results of the elections this Tuesday 8 January 2019 thus causing panic within the Kinshasa population concerns the pure misinformation and intoxication"…
