The National Electricity Company (SNEL) announces in a press release a reduction of the load from 500 MW to 440 MW on the Inga-Kolwezi transmission line of the G27 unit from Inga 2 in the Lualaba province.

The press release states: "The load on the Inga-Kolwezi transmission of the G27 group from Inga2 will be reduced from 500 MW to 440 MW, following the completion of reserve lifting works by the contractor General Electric."

The G28 unit has been shut down to carry out reinforcement work on fixing the grid panels of the G27 group using metal clamps with the support of the underwater company Erringer, it adds, before noting: "The works had started on April 23, 2024, for a period of 18 days."
